Senior Accountant

This is an exciting opportunity for an accounting professional to thrive in a dynamic and innovative field.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proper job costing and financial reporting for projects.
• Manage fixed assets and depreciation schedules.
• Oversee payroll accounting and ensure accurate reporting of employee-related expenses.
• Provide support for internal and external audits, including preparing necessary documentation and reports.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial operations.
• Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations, advising management on potential impacts.
• Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA certification preferred.
• 5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role.
• Experience in the biotech or life sciences industry is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
