Job Summary
Stratosphere Quality is seeking a highly skilled ISO Auditor/Quality Engineer for a contract position in Carleton, MI. This role involves supporting ISO audits, production process audits, and various quality management activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong ISO 9001/TS 16949 auditing credentials, quality engineering expertise, and excellent communication and problem-solving skills.This is a 1099 contractor position with competitive hourly compensation, expected to last several months.
Pay Rate: $50.00ph
Essential Job Function:
Job Duties- ISO Audit Preparation: Assist in the preparation for formal ISO audits to ensure compliance with standards.
- Production Process Audits:
- Conduct audits for Furnace/Tin Bath/Lehr (Hot End).
- Audit Lower Line/Close Up processes (Cold End), ensuring adherence to established quality standards.
- Support Process Audits:
- Perform audits in areas such as Context, Leadership & Commitment, Quality Policy, and Management of Change.
- Ensure compliance with Quality Management Systems, Customer Requirements, and other internal standards.
- Corrective Actions: Implement corrective actions where audit findings indicate deficiencies.
- Quality Management: Oversee processes such as Non-Conforming Product control, calibration, internal audits, and the annual operating plan.
- Documentation & Reporting: Document audit results, provide detailed reports, and track follow-up actions.
Qualifications:
Job Requirements- Certification: Certified ISO 9001 / TS 16949 Auditor.
- Experience: Strong background in quality engineering and quality assurance principles.
- Technical Skills:
- Broad knowledge of quality engineering practices.
- Expertise in continuous improvement tools and root cause analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Problem Solving: Ability to conduct thorough problem-solving and manage projects effectively.
- Other: Strong knowledge of quality management systems and project management skills.
