Tax Accountant (seasonal)

We are partnering with a client to prepare for the upcoming 2025 tax season and are seeking an experienced Tax Accountant. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in preparing individual tax returns and a solid understanding of tax regulations and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare Individual Tax Returns: Review, analyze, and prepare accurate individual income tax returns, ensuring compliance with federal and state tax laws.
• Tax Planning & Compliance: Assist clients with tax planning strategies to minimize their tax liabilities, and ensure all filings comply with current tax regulations.
• Client Communication: Provide excellent client service by answering tax-related questions, addressing concerns, and collecting necessary information for tax preparation.
• Tax Filing & Documentation: Organize and file tax documentation, maintain accurate records, and prepare tax returns for submission to appropriate agencies.
• Audit Assistance: Assist clients in preparing for tax audits and responding to notices from tax authorities.
• Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date on the latest tax law changes and IRS regulations to provide the most accurate tax advice.

Experience Required: Minimum of 2 years of experience in individual tax return preparation.

Proficiency in tax software such as Lacerte, UltraTax, or ProSeries.

Knowledge of current federal and state tax laws and regulations.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Excellent communication skills and client-focused mindset.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment during tax season.
