Accounts Payable and Receivable Clerk

We are in search of an Accounts Payable and Receivable Clerk to join our client's team in Charlottesville, Virginia. This role entails managing both accounts payable and receivable related to the logistics industry. The position involves handling various financial documents, processing invoices, and maintaining detailed records in our ERP system.

• Handle accounts payable and receivable related to logistics projects and transportation loads.
• Process and track bills of lading, create invoices, send invoices, and follow up on payments.
• Oversee collections and payment posting activities.
• Manage data entry tasks, including entering load details into the company system and inputting invoices for accounts payable processing.
• Perform regular account reconciliation tasks to ensure accuracy.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for functions such as creating pivot tables and performing vlookups.
• Use software tools such as Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP for various financial and accounting tasks.
• Maintain and update customer credit records accurately and efficiently.
• Resolve customer inquiries promptly and professionally.
• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary.
• Proficiency in account reconciliation tasks.
• Demonstrable experience in managing accounts payable (AP).
• Hands-on experience in handling accounts receivable (AR).
• Familiarity with billing procedures.
• Ability to perform data entry tasks efficiently.
• Proficient in invoice processing.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Experience in using Oracle for accounting tasks.
• Familiarity with QuickBooks software.
• Proficiency in using SAP for managing accounts payable and receivable.
