ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE SPECIALIST - Lite Hybrid schedule

Anna Parson at Robert Half is seeking a skilled, detail oriented Full Cycle Accounts Receivable Specialist to join a stable, small accounting team where you can make a difference! Your main function will be to carry out all accounts receivable and related functions.

As the Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will:

1. Manage the billing process to ensure timely and accurate invoice delivery to the customer.
2. Apply cash and payments to customer accounts.
3. Conduct customer account reconciliations to ensure that payments are accurately posted against outstanding invoices.
4. Spearhead collections efforts, courteously handling past due accounts and liaising with customers on payment schedules.
5. Calculate and validate sales commissions in accordance with company policies.
6. Assist with sales tax filing and monitor reports for accuracy.
7. Assisting with the month end close process by providing necessary data and coordinating with different departments.
8. Prepare bank reconciliations and other supporting schedules and analyses as needed

• Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Proficient in Account Reconciliation and Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Experience in Billing, Cash Applications, Cash Collections and Commercial Collections.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Excel for financial tasks and analysis.
• Experience in handling Aging Reports, Commissions and Sales Tax.
• Experience in performing Bank Reconciliations and processing Credit Card Payments.
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in all tasks.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Proficient in using various accounting software.
