We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented HR Generalist to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of HR expertise, people skills, and a strong understanding of employment laws. This role will support the HVAC company's mission by ensuring a productive, engaged, and compliant workforce.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruitment and Onboarding:
  • Manage full-cycle recruitment, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs.
  • Employee Relations:
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and management, resolving workplace concerns and promoting a positive work environment.
  • Foster employee engagement through communication and development initiatives.
  • HR Compliance and Policy Management:
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Maintain and update employee handbooks, policies, and procedures.
  • Payroll and Benefits Administration:
  • Assist with payroll processes and benefit enrollments/changes.
  • Provide employees with guidance on benefits and compensation programs.
  • Training and Development:
  • Identify training needs and implement programs to enhance employee skills.
  • Coordinate ongoing learning opportunities and certifications relevant to the HVAC industry.
  • HR Metrics and Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate HR records and generate reports to support decision-making.
  • Monitor and analyze workforce trends to recommend process improvements.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2+ years of HR experience, preferably in the trades or a related industry.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification (preferred).
