We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented HR Generalist to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of HR expertise, people skills, and a strong understanding of employment laws. This role will support the HVAC company's mission by ensuring a productive, engaged, and compliant workforce.
Key Responsibilities- Recruitment and Onboarding:
- Manage full-cycle recruitment, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs.
- Employee Relations:
- Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and management, resolving workplace concerns and promoting a positive work environment.
- Foster employee engagement through communication and development initiatives.
- HR Compliance and Policy Management:
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Maintain and update employee handbooks, policies, and procedures.
- Payroll and Benefits Administration:
- Assist with payroll processes and benefit enrollments/changes.
- Provide employees with guidance on benefits and compensation programs.
- Training and Development:
- Identify training needs and implement programs to enhance employee skills.
- Coordinate ongoing learning opportunities and certifications relevant to the HVAC industry.
- HR Metrics and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate HR records and generate reports to support decision-making.
- Monitor and analyze workforce trends to recommend process improvements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years of HR experience, preferably in the trades or a related industry.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification (preferred).
