CDL Driver Roll off Garbage Truck

Responsibilities:

Essential functions

• Safely operate a roll-off truck along assigned routes to customers and disposal sites
• Safely deliver, transport and/or unload container with materials at designated locations/dump site
• Operate electronic devices to log/report information
• Communicate with dispatch personnel
• Report delays due to road conditions, accidents, or breakdowns to management
• Secure the container in place before departure and monitoring its safe distribution throughout the trip
• Keep truck and associated equipment, clean, safe and in good working order
• Perform truck and container inspections pre and post trip
• Service customer container needs
• Safely operate all vehicle controls for lifting and loading
• Safely operate compacters to dispose of material
• Follow all applicable traffic laws and regulations

Qualifications:

To qualify for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Minimum 1 year of recent experience operating a vehicle requiring a CDL.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Successfully pass pre-employment DOT drug screen and DOT physical.
• Possess a current Class A or B Commercial Driver's License.
• Physical strength to occasionally push, pull carts up to 75 lbs., along with bending, twisting, and lifting.
• Great attention to detail and ability to navigate digital maps and mapping systems.
