What would I be doing?:
The Front Desk & PBX Clerk is responsible for the duties, functions, and tasks of the front desk area to assure guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- The Front Desk & PBX Clerk will adhere to established department and property policies and procedures regarding guest service standards.
- Greet, register, and assign rooms to guests.
- The Front Desk & PBX Clerk will date-stamp, sort, and rack incoming mail and messages.
- Answer inquiries pertaining to hotel services, shopping, dining, and travel directions.
- The Front Desk & PBX Clerk will keep record of room availability and guest’s accounts, manually or by computer.
- Compute bill, collect payment, and make change for guests.
- The Front Desk & PBX Clerk may post charges to guest’s bill.
- Must be willing to cross-train in other departments of Hotel Operations as instructed by management.
- This is a uniformed position, which requires that team members are in compliance with uniformed appearance standards while on duty.
- The Front Desk & PBX Clerk will make and confirm room reservations for guests.
- Assist in the group sales efforts as specified by PBX Supervisor or Front Desk Supervisor.
- The Front Desk & PBX Clerk will complete all necessary reports as assigned by your supervisor.
- Maintain lobby area and coffee bar.
- The Front Desk & PBX Clerk must be willing to work alone, supervised, non-supervised when needed.
What are we looking for?:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- General knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is a plus.
- Excellent communication and guest service skills are a must.
- Previous guest service position
- Must be at least 18
