We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for an entry level Staff Accountant in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. This role is with a large organization in the Central PA area and requires 100% on site availability. As a Staff Accountant, you will be involved in various functions such as reconciliations, month-end tasks, and general AP/AR operations.

Responsibilities:

Conducting regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy
Assisting in the month-end closing process and journal entries
Managing accounts payable and receivable functions to maintain proper record keeping
Handling general ledger accounting tasks to aid financial management
Assisting in the preparation and maintenance of financial reports
Resolving any discrepancies or irregularities in the accounting records
Collaborating with the finance team to ensure all financial deadlines are met
Ensuring compliance with all internal processes and financial regulations
Ability to prepare and analyze Journal Entries
Experience with Month End Close procedures
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
