Responsibilities:
The Dietary Aide is accountable for initiating and completing a variety of food service tasks related to patient feeding. Performs a variety of patient food service duties, as well as other food service related tasks. Maintains a clean and organized work area; conducts other cleaning duties as assigned.Operates dish machine, works on tray line, washes pots, pans and serving utensils, load food trucks with meal trays, and prepares hot and cold food items as directed and following approved recipes. Operates food service equipment, assembles and delivers patient trays, sets-up and breaks-down carts, trays and different food service duties as directed.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Ability to speak, read, and write English. Ability to follow direction and work independently. Some knowledge of food preparation, sanitation, cleanliness, and neatness. Previous experience in the food service area preferred.Excellent communication and customer service skills required.
