Senior Trainer/Materials Developer

Summary:

Goldbelt CP Marine is seeking a Senior Trainer-Materials Developer to support the Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) in Norfolk, VA.

Responsibilities:

Essential Job Functions:

• Design and develop engaging training materials, including manuals, presentations, e-learning modules, and multimedia content, tailored to the needs of different audiences.
• Conduct training needs assessments to identify skill gaps and learning objectives.
• Develop and deliver high-quality training programs and workshops, both in-person and online, to ensure effective knowledge transfer and skill development.
• Create and implement evaluation methods to assess the effectiveness of training programs, gathering feedback from participants and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure training content is accurate, relevant, and aligned with organizational goals and industry standards.
• Update and maintain training materials to reflect changes in processes, technologies, and best practices.
• Facilitate train-the-trainer sessions and provide guidance to other trainers or facilitators to ensure consistency and quality in delivery.
• Analyze training data and metrics to identify trends, measure training impact, and report on training outcomes to senior management.
• Stay current with industry trends, educational technologies, and best practices in instructional design and training delivery.
• Develop and maintain a repository of training resources and materials for easy access by employees and trainers.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Qualifications:

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

• Strong experience in creating a variety of training materials, such as written content, presentations, e-learning modules, and multimedia.
• Proficiency in using e-learning development tools and platforms.
• Excellent presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage and motivate diverse audiences.
• Strong analytical skills, with experience in assessing training effectiveness and using feedback to drive continuous improvement.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree
• At least 10 years of experience developing both classroom and online training programs, materials, manuals and other related visual aids.
• Experienced in providing both classroom and live online training presentations.
• Ability to travel up to 50%.
• Must be a US citizen.
