Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a per diem Research Assistant for the department of Pharmacology at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.Under the direction of the Principal Investigator, provide assistance in studies of liver fibrosis and hepatic stellate cell biology.Among the key duties of this position are the following:
- Perform cell culture with mouse embryonic stem (ES) cells and human induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cells.
- Conduct cell biology assays with mouse ES cells and human iPS cells.
- Perform molecular biology techniques and Western blotting.
- Maintain clear and comprehensive laboratory records.
- Perform statistical analyses of research data.
- Analyze and process experimental data for publication and grant application.
- Participate in training of new lab personnel.
- Laboratory housekeeping.
