Responsibilities:

Position Summary:

The Administrative Assistant is responsible for all general administrative functions in support of fast-paced Patient Financial Services (PFS) department. The Administrative Assistant reports to the PFS Director and works closely with PFS leadership team handling confidential information, provides a wide range of administrative and analytical functions (data collection, problem analysis and resolution, system analysis, etc.). Responsibilities include but are not limited to providing departmental support, supply management, maintaining calendars, telephones, records, minutes, correspondence, filing, faxing, composition, typing, proofing, event management, coordinating travel, expense reporting and appropriate dissemination of various materials.

Performs other duties as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years experience working in a role that provides administrative support to a leadership position
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Demonstrated advanced computer knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrated ability to create and produce complex reports using computer programs such as Excel, Access, Word, Powerpoint and Visio
  • Ability to act independently to solve problems and develop recommendations for approval

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of UC policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of The Joint Commission requirements for personnel files
  • Knowledge of JCAHO requirements
