Position Summary:
This position reports to the Executive Chef. Position is responsible for the cleanliness of small wares, utensils, all kitchen equipment, all flatware and glassware used by Food and Beverage Department as well as floor cleanliness and trash removal.

Some basic food prep experience is encouraged. The employee must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work events as scheduled per business need.

This role will pay an hourly wage of $18 to $22.

About the Venue:
Lynnwood Event Center, previously Lynnwood Convention Center, is a vibrant venue located 15 miles north of downtown Seattle. With sweeping mountain views and a short ride by car to the Puget Sound, we offer our clients and guests more than the typical meeting space.
Built in 2005, we currently have 34,000 square feet of meeting space that stays busy year round and we're looking forward to a future expansion that will include additional indoor and outdoor event spaces and a remodel of our existing space.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures highest sanitation levels for all items previously used so that they may be used again in clean condition, free of any contamination risk.
  • Utilizes and implements M.S.D.S. criteria, food and product safety, and Food and Beverage Policies and Procedures.
  • Removes all trash and maintains loading and receiving areas in safe and clean condition.
  • Stocks plates, glasses, pots, utensils and pans after cleaning.
  • Cleans and sanitizes all food service areas and equipment.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a casual and/or fine dining atmosphere helpful.
  • High School diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.)
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
  • Ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, management staff and guest in a clear, business-like and respectful manner which focuses on generating a positive enthusiastic and cooperative work environment.
  • Possess valid food handling certificate and alcohol service permit if required by state or federal regulations.
