Overview:

SCOPE OF WORK

The Instructional Designer develops learning experiences and materials that lead to transfer and

application of new skills and knowledge. The Instructional Designer will be responsible for analyzing, designing, developing, and assessing learning opportunities and programming for all Gaylor employees.

Responsibilities:

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
  • Uses Gaylor Performance Values as tools to carry out all job responsibilities
  • Works with Education Team to provide and facilitate the planning and administration of
educational projects and tasks as designated by leadership groups
  • Obtains personal and/or corporate certifications as necessary for the benefit of Gaylor
Electric’s educational programs
  • Promotes a positive spirit of cooperation with all Locations and Divisions of the Company
  • Promotes the philosophy of Gaylor Performance Values, inspires fresh thinking and openness
to effectively promote the corporate culture
  • Organizes and prioritizes workload to meet deadlines
  • Schedules and maintains calendar of appointments, meetings, travel itineraries, and
coordinates related agendas
  • Maintains appropriate records, files, documentation, etc.
  • Participates in Company sponsored, as requested, community events
  • Maintains confidentiality of all information
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Be a student of the purpose and history of the Gaylor educational philosophy
  • Maintain learning management systems
  • Evaluate new learning materials
  • Create educational podcasts, videos and content
  • Design and revamp both new and established learning models
  • Implement feedback from program reviews and course evaluations
  • Identify the appropriate learning approach
  • Train others on how to deliver learning material
  • Collaborate with all stakeholders
  • Train all employees on how to use the learning management system
  • Research new innovations in both learning design and educatio

Qualifications:

EDUCATION

A four-year degree in education, education qualification, or equivalent experience.

EXPERIENCE
  • Previous experience with training and/or education.
  • Minimum of four (4) years administrative and/or management experience or equivalent.
  • Strong administrative, computer, organization, and communication skills.
  • Must be computer literate and able to process documents in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power

Point, and Outlook in addition to quickly learning the Company’s operating software.
