Payroll Administrator

One of our clients in the Concord area is looking for a Payroll Administrator for a contract to permanent placement opportunity.

  1. Manage and guarantee weekly disbursement of payroll, including garnishments, benefits, and taxes.
  2. Implement and maintain payroll best practices to improve efficiency and consult with human resources team to improve payroll and HRIS system processes.
  3. Manage time attendance system, setup department rules, and handle employee inquiries related to their timecards.
  4. Compile data from payroll sources.
  5. Handle administrative tasks, including, but not limited to, record-keeping and filing.
  6. Resolve payroll discrepancies and irregularities.
  7. Implement, maintain, and review payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions.
  8. Conduct staff audits and ensure that staff salaries are in accordance with labor laws.
  9. Maintain employee records for new hires, pay changes, and departures.
  10. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Human Resources, or related field is preferred.
  11. Proven experience as a Payroll Administrator.
  12. Excellent understanding of payroll and benefits legislation and regulations.
  13. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  14. Excellent mathematical skills and strong attention to detail.
  15. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  16. Strong problem-solving abilities.
