The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on building systems, equipment, and machinery within a facility, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical components, to ensure optimal functionality and safety, often responding to emergency repairs when necessary; requiring technical skills to diagnose issues and troubleshoot malfunctions effectively.

Responsibilities

Troubleshooting and repairs:

Diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues with equipment, identifying root causes, and performing necessary repairs or replacements.

Emergency response:

Responding to urgent maintenance issues outside of regular hours, including leaks, power outages, equipment failures, and safety concerns.

Parts management:

Maintaining inventory of common replacement parts and ordering new parts as needed.

Documentation:

Keeping detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and equipment conditions.

Preventative maintenance:

Conducting scheduled inspections and servicing of equipment like HVAC systems, electrical panels, plumbing fixtures, and machinery to prevent breakdowns.
