Staff Accountant

We are in search of a Staff Accountant to join our team based in Troy, Michigan. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity within our Marketing Services business. As a Staff Accountant, your primary responsibilities will include managing all aspects of Accounts Payable, preparing journal entries, conducting bank and account reconciliations, and assisting with month-end close processes.

• Oversee full-process Accounts Payable duties, including invoice processing, matching, and coding
• Prepare and record journal entries in the general ledger
• Conduct bank and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy
• Assist in the month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
• Utilize Sage Intacct and Microsoft Excel for various accounting tasks
• Monitor and manage customer accounts effectively
• Process customer credit applications with accuracy and efficiency
• Maintain accurate customer credit records and resolve customer inquiries as needed. • Applicant must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a Staff Accountant role or a similar position
• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) is a mandatory requirement
• The candidate should have experience with Bank Reconciliations
• Knowledge and experience in handling the General Ledger is required
• The ability to perform Journal Entries is a necessary skill
• The candidate should be adept at handling Month End Close procedures
• Proficiency in Sage Intacct is required
• The candidate should have strong skills in Microsoft Excel
