We are looking for a detail-oriented Insurance Verification Specialist to assist our administrative team in the healthcare sector for a company in New Albany, Indiana. The Insurance Verification Specialist will be responsible for validating and verifying patients' insurance information, ensuring all details are accurate, up-to-date, and properly entered into our systems.

Responsibilities of the Insurance Verification Specialist:

• Verifying patient's insurance coverage with various insurance companies.
• Ensuring all patient details are accurately reflected in the system.
• Collaborating with the billing team to ensure treatments are properly covered.
• Handling insurance related inquiries and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Updating insurance changes and handling all other related information.
• Submitting insurance claims and monitor their status.
• Facilitating any required pre-authorization for specific medical procedures.
• Working closely with various departments to ensure the smooth flow of communications.
• Navigating efficiently between multiple computer programs and databases.
• 2+ years of Insurance Verification experience.
• Understanding of insurance procedures and has a strong ability to troubleshoot and resolve any issues quickly and accurately.
• Proficient in the use of EMR software, Microsoft Office, and other relevant computer applications.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
• Knowledgeable in medical terminology, ICD and CPT codes.
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality
