Initially founded in 2004 to manage Stuyvesant Cove Park, a two-acre native plant park and a small environmental education center, Solar One has grown into an award-winning organization with a thriving array of programs. Fellowship Details- On-Site Internship program with 35 hours required a week
- 2 Year Commitment
- Paid internship - 30hr

Internship Overview
Solar One seeks a skilled and motivated Intern to join our team of 53 employees. The successful candidate will work closely with Solar One’s Director of Workforce Training and, in cooperation with the program manager, assist with a variety of tasks, including data entry, research, maintenance, and providing support for workforce operations and classes.
The NYSERDA Fellowship Intern will also gain knowledge and experience in green energy. Solar One will help develop the skills necessary to advance the individual to employment (either at Solar One or another employer). Interns will be formally trained in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, water conservation, and heating & cooling systems during their time at Solar One.
Responsibilities- Track Inventory (Across multiple locations)

- Facility & Classrooms
- Equipment and education props
- Teacher Aid
- Assist program manager with tracking student progress
- Assist Career Services with student engagement
- Assist the instructors by prepping and setting up for class, including printing materials.
- Assist the instructors with tracking, printing, and scanning attendance sheet.s
- Professional Development
- Actively participate in educational learning opportunities throughout the internship that may assist in intern responsibilities.
- Must reside in District 14 in The Bronx
- High School Diploma with two years of work experience.
- Strong collaboration and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills, including in-person, email, phone, and video conferencing etiquette.
- Excellent creative problem-solving ability.
- Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and GSuite.
