Procurement Assistant

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Procurement Assistant in the manufacturing industry, based in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The role involves managing procurement processes, maintaining vendor relations, and ensuring efficient data management.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and send out open orders while ensuring accuracy and adherence to set timelines.
• Maintain and regularly update leads information, ensuring that backlog is minimized.
• Handle high volumes of work, particularly during peak times.
• Employ advanced Excel skills to navigate and resolve issues in ERP system.
• Communicate effectively within the team.
• Handle load with bids ensuring that all procurement processes are carried out smoothly and efficiently.
• Use skills in Enterprise Resource Planning, ERP Solutions, Budget Processes, Buying Processes, Customer Service, Invoice, Purchase Orders, and Bid Management to perform tasks effectively.
• Proficiency in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions
• Familiarity with Buying Processes
• Excellent Customer Service skills
• Ability to manage Invoices and Purchase Orders
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent work experience
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Able to multitask and prioritize work effectively
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
