About the Team:

VIZIO is looking for an energetic HR Operations Contractor to join our HR Team at our Irvine Office. This is an amazing opportunity to join a close-knit team of HR professionals with a continued focus on providing an enhanced employee experience in an ever-growing, fast-paced environment.

The HR Operations Contractor, working under our Manager, HR Operations, will provide day-to-day support for the HR function including responsibilities related to Compensation, Onboarding, Compliance, Vendor Management, and HRIS. The role is a generalist in nature and depending on the inquiry or request may include the following duties: processing data transactions, data auditing, reporting, coordinating onboarding and termination activities, and supporting HR functions as needed.

The individual will use knowledge across these HR disciplines to respond to employee questions and problem-solve, providing timely, thorough responses and resolutions.

What You Will Do:

  • Review, investigate, and resolve employee requests submitted through our Jira ticketing system.
  • Support the employee lifecycle from onboarding new hires to offboarding; including hiring new hires into Workday, new hire orientation, I9 processing, submitting Jira tickets, and updating employee information.
  • Partner with HR, Legal, and Compliance teams to maintain and oversee adherence to VIZIO policies and procedures.
  • Ensure overall compliance with federal, state, and local laws through our processes, policies, and mandatory reporting.
  • Support the HR Operations team by maintaining contingent worker data utilizing the HRIS system, Workday.
  • Maintain records of personnel-related data in Workday and ensure all employment requirements are met.
  • Assist with auditing data by running reports from Workday and other HR-related systems.
  • Assist with documenting and maintaining processes that may include multiple functions of the Human Resources team and other VIZIO teams.
  • Identify ways for HR to continuously improve the solutions offered to employees and managers by leveraging technology.
  • Provide excellent customer service through effective communication between employees, managers, leaders, and other key stakeholders.
  • Provide support to prioritize HR Operations projects and processes.

About You:

  • You have 2-3 years of related work experience.
  • You have a bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or other related field, preferred (not required).
  • You have proficiency with Microsoft Office, Jira, and Workday experience is preferred.
  • You can effectively and clearly communicate with internal and external stakeholders through oral and written communications.
  • You have strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple, competing tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail and follow-through.
  • You can maintain confidentiality.
  • You work well under pressure.
  • You are a problem solver and can clearly present solutions.
  • You work well in a team environment but can take the initiative and work independently.
  • You have experience as an administrative assistant, customer service representative, or in human resources at minimum.

For California-based employment: The minimum pay for this position is $26.92/hr. The maximum pay for this position is $34.62/hr. Compensation may vary inside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location.
