Sr. Accountant

This position offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Process and maintain corporate employee payroll accurately.
• Supervise and maintain financial records and reports, ensuring monthly, quarterly, and annual closing of corporate centers.
• Assist in the creation of financial statements including bank reconciliations, voucher submissions, and analysis of AR, accruals, prepaid amortizations, and fixed assets.
• Verify the accuracy of accounts through balance sheet reconciliations and account analysis.
• Maintain records of account entries by compiling, analyzing accounting activities, and maintaining the general ledger.
• Prepare for the annual audit, file annual reports, resolve tax notices, and obtain PR tax state ID's for new locations.
• Use accounting software and Microsoft Excel effectively for various tasks.
• Develop proficiency in Netsuite software and its applications in accounting. • Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Senior Accountant role or similar position.
• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is a crucial requirement for this role.
• Applicants must possess a strong understanding and experience of Balance Sheet Reconciliation.
• Experience in performing Bank Reconciliations is necessary for this position.
• Candidates should be familiar with General Ledger accounting practices.
• The ability to create and manage Journal Entries is a key requirement.
• Applicants should have a high proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience in managing Month End Close procedures is expected.
• Candidates must have experience with the NetSuite accounting software.
• Applicants should have a strong understanding and experience in managing Payroll Functions.
