Accounts Payable Clerk

This opportunity offers a long-term contract employment.

• Oversee the processing and coding of vendor invoices.
• Ensure vendor files are properly maintained and updated.
• Issue payments to vendors in a timely manner.
• Handle the scanning and filing of vendor payments.
• Maintain an updated legal expense tracking spreadsheet.
• Manage employee allocations for vendor payables.
• Oversee the Trades Payable email inbox and ensure all emails are responded to.
• Assist with insurance carrier Accounts Payable as assigned.
• Review and distribute incoming emails and faxes sent to the general accounting mailbox.
• Handle any other assigned accounting responsibilities. • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) processes and systems
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
• Excellent data entry skills with high attention to detail
• Ability to handle high volume invoice processing
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel
• Familiarity with accounting software, preferably within the insurance industry
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred
• Previous experience in an insurance industry setting is a plus.
