Job Overview:
We are seeking an individual with an understanding of networking and a strong willingness to learn and grow. We would prefer someone who has some experience with layer 1 installations, but we are willing to train someone who is willing to work hard and learn.
A Typical Day:
The Associate Network Engineer oversees the development and day-to-day operations of the company’s voice and data networks and will travel weeks at a time to remote locations.
The Associate Network Engineer will:
- Run different types of cabling, ie; fiber, copper ethernet and coax
- Terminate cabling, label and testing to ensure correct operations
- Building out network closets; MDF/IDF, installing two-post racks and ladder racking for cable runways. CPI products or something of an equivalent.
- Rack and stack networking equipment
- Build out and troubleshoot audio and video conference room equipment
- Deploy video equipment for business operations
- Mount cameras, door strikes and card readers
- Organize and keep a running inventory of all our equipment
- Trace connections for troubleshooting
- Ability to travel weeks at a time to remote office locations
- Work as a team member and provide good customer service to others
- Ability to stand and or sit for long periods and lift up to 60lbs
- Can follow instructions and is detail oriented
What You’ll Bring:
- Experience with cabling, pulling, terminating, etc.
- Feels comfortable with low voltage and batteries for UPS systems
- Must be eager to learn and grow within this position
- Must be comfortable climbing and moving ladders
- Can use a computer including email, spreadsheets. Word docs, etc.
- Ability to work after hours and long hours if needed
- Ability to work weekends and enjoys traveling

Compensation: Individual salary may vary based on multiple factors including specific role, geographic location / market data, and skills and experience as defined below:
- Lower in range - Building skills and experience in the role
- Mid-range - Experience and skills align with proficiency in the role
- Higher in range - Experience and skills add value above typical requirements of the role
Some roles may be eligible for performance-based compensation and/or stock-based incentives awarded to employees based on company and individual performance.
Salary: $70,000 - $130,000
