We are in the banking industry, specifically seeking a Collections Specialist to join our team in Nassau County, New York. In this role, you will be responsible for handling all types and stages of delinquent accounts and ensuring the accuracy of customer records.

Responsibilities:

• Handle a variety of delinquent accounts including Consumer Loans, Mortgages, Home Equity Loans, HELOCs, Student Loans, Credit Cards and overdrawn accounts
• Operate independently and as part of a team to achieve assigned goals and objectives
• Maintain and generate daily work queue and utilize reports to track and report loss mitigation data
• Update systems records accurately across multiple platforms
• Handle telephone, email, and correspondence inquiries concerning delinquent accounts and provide counseling to customers
• Evaluate customers' financial situations to negotiate terms of repayment and propose loss mitigation solutions as appropriate
• Research and audit customer records to determine missed payments and/or possible discrepancies when necessary
• Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently
• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action based on account status
• Demonstrate proficiency with Accounting Software Systems, ADP - Financial Services, CRM, Accounts Receivable (AR), Answering Inbound Calls, Billing Functions, Claim Administration, and Collection Processes.
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Experience with ADP - Financial Services
• Familiarity with CRM platforms
• Knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR) processes
• Ability to handle Answering Inbound Calls effectively
• Proficiency in Billing Functions
• Experience in Claim Administration
• Understanding of Collection Processes in the banking industry
