Supply Chain Inventory Analyst- Hybrid Position

Responsibilities/Qualifications:
The Supply Chain Inventory Analyst is a hybrid role that works in office Monday- Wednesday each week at Pet Central (Livonia, MI corporate headquarters). This position is responsible for utilizing an automated replenishment system and other tools to effectively order, flow and allocate inventory from suppliers into the Pet Supplies Plus supply chain (Distribution Centers and stores).This will include all forecasting activities, import demand planning, creating and maintaining forecast models, and incorporating business intelligence through regular interactions and collaboration with Merchants, Inside Customer Service Representatives, Store Operations and Finance.
The Supply Chain Inventory Analyst key responsibilities include:
- Owns the inventory plan in partnership with category managers and merchandise planning
- Accountable for managing inventory in the distribution network to support Store’s achieving targeted service level, Instock Rate, Forecast Accuracy, Inventory Turnover, and financial performance KPI’s
- Accountable for ordering from suppliers into the distribution network to support demand
- Utilize an ordering system (Manhattan Demand Forecasting &Inventory Optimization software) to manage forecasts, promos, order points, seasonality, lead times, and optimal ordering strategies.
- Co-ordinate and manage ordering and communication for vendors that span across multiple categories
- Partner with the vendor community to optimize lead times and order cycles
- Accountable for the replenishment and allocation of inventory from vendor to DC and DC/vendor to store
- Accountable for end-of-life inventory management
- Identifies opportunities in unproductive inventory strategies to increase turn to meet or exceed plan
- Bachelors' degree in business, supply chain, finance or retail preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree Required, preferably business administration, supply chain management focus
- Preferred 2+ years of work experience in retail planning, buying or merchandising
- Preferred 2+ years of related experience using demand planning software (Manhattan I/O preferred)
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Solid understanding of supply chain networks
- Advanced business knowledge of retail and merchandising concepts
- Ability to work in a team environment and communicate with multiple levels within a large organization
