About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Corporate Counsel to provide critical legal support for our US Commercial operations on a part-time, fully remote basis. This role involves advising on a variety of legal matters, including contract negotiations, healthcare regulations, and supporting the development of the Company’s sales and business initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have substantial experience with commercial contracts and healthcare laws, with a particular focus on payer agreements and federal healthcare programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert legal advice and contracting support for the Company’s US Commercial sales activities.
  • Advise on US Commercial programs with a strong understanding of fraud and abuse laws and regulations.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, including sales agreements, inventory consignment contracts, master services agreements, and EHR integration contracts. Experience with payer agreements is highly preferred.
  • Optimize legal templates and contribute to playbooks to enhance collaboration between legal and sales teams.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as Sales, Payer Relations, Health Economics Outcomes Research (HEOR), Payer Marketing, and CX to provide legal support.
  • Advise on US healthcare laws, regulations, and guidelines that govern the development, promotion, and provision of Company services.
  • Assist with additional product and commercial matters as needed.

Qualifications:

  • JD from an accredited US law school and active bar membership in at least one US state.
  • At least 6+ years of in-house legal experience, law firm, or government experience.
  • Extensive transactional experience and a strong knowledge of US federal and state healthcare laws, including the False Claims Act, Anti-Kickback Statute, Beneficiary Inducement Law, physician self-referral, and regulations related to healthcare services and reimbursement.
  • Ability to work independently, demonstrating motivation and initiative, while also collaborating effectively with legal colleagues and business stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills; confidence in interacting with customers, sales teams, and all levels of management.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced business environment.
  • Detail-oriented with outstanding analytical skills, capable of identifying potential legal issues and proposing effective solutions.
