Specializing in multifamily, entertainment, and data center projects ranging from $5M to $100M+, they are seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager with expertise in electrical scope to join their team on a large-scale data center project in Northern VA.

Job Description

The Safety Manager - Data Centers & Mission Critical - Reston, VA will be responsible for:

• Develop and implement safety programs and training for construction projects.
• Conduct safety briefings and ensure workers are trained on safety regulations and emergency procedures.
• Monitor compliance with OSHA and other safety regulations on-site.
• Identify potential hazards in project plans and site conditions, recommending corrective actions.
• Perform regular safety inspections and audits to mitigate risks and ensure compliance.
• Record and report safety violations, incidents, and near misses, recommending improvements.
• Investigate accidents, determining root causes and implementing corrective actions.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure adherence to safety protocols and proper PPE usage.
• Develop and review emergency response plans and conduct drills to ensure preparedness.

The Successful Applicant

The Safety Manager - Data Centers & Mission Critical - Reston, VA will have:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction safety management.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field (preferred).
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or similar safety certifications (preferred).
• In-depth knowledge of construction site safety regulations and OSHA standards.
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience conducting safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
• Ability to train and educate workers on safety practices.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and safety management software.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
