Proposal Manager - Cary

The Proposal Manager will be a part of NV5’s Cary, NC-based marketing team, developing quality proposals, presentations, and other marketing materials in a deadline-driven environment. The successful candidate must be an organized, detail-oriented, self-starter with a passion for producing top-quality proposals and materials while serving our clients with a good mix of professionalism and creativity.

This position will support infrastructure service line groups primarily within our Southeast and Northwest offices, while also supporting offices nationwide as needed. Service lines include roadway and structure design, hydraulic design, planning, environmental, site/civil, building structures, GIS, survey, subsurface utility engineering, geotechnical engineering, and materials inspection.

Responsibilities:

• Track and distribute project opportunity leads and initiate go/no-go opportunity evaluations.
• Oversee, update, and create marketing materials and collateral including project sheets, resumes, brochures, and Statements of Qualifications (SOQs), and more as needed.
• Manage opportunities in Deltek Vantagepoint.
• Lead and coordinate the development of proposals and pre-qualification submissions in compliance with requirements, including page layout and design, outline of submittal, preparing and enforcing schedules, writing non-technical portions, proofreading and formatting technical portions. In summary, working with managers and other staff while managing the entire submittal from beginning to submission, and preparing interview materials.
• Work with marketing managers from other NV5 business units to collaborate, maintain standards, and develop best practices.
• Create and distribute social media content as needed.
• Act as liaison between our group managers and NV5 corporate marketing to ensure information on company website stays current.
• Complete and assist with a wide variety of marketing activities, including writing and dissemination of press releases and articles; promotional activities such as development of direct mailers, advertisements, promotional items, career fairs, client events and seminars.
• May perform other duties to meet the operational needs of the firm.

Qualifications:

• Excellent writing, proofreading, communication, and organization skills.
• Ability to interface well with internal and external team members and clients at all levels.
• Ability to lead by example, multi-task and work in a deadline-driven environment.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite Programs (InDesign, Photoshop), MS Office Suite necessary
• MacOS proficiency preferred
• Proficiency in Deltek Vantagepoint CRM or similar software a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, history, English, or engineering
• Five or more years of related marketing experience. AEC industry experience a plus.
