We are looking for a meticulous Medical Receptionist to join our team in Chattanooga, Tennessee. As a Medical Receptionist, you will be instrumental in our healthcare team, and your work will include maintaining patient records, managing appointments, and providing exceptional customer service.

This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity in the Healthcare, Hospitals, and Social Assistance industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Professionally answer and direct phone calls, ensuring a high standard of customer service
  • Accurately verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary information from patients
  • Efficiently schedule appointments and manage the appointment book
  • Collect co-payments and accurately document transactions, demonstrating strong data entry skills
  • Maintain patient records with a high level of confidentiality
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families, utilizing your ability to speak both English and Spanish
  • Use intermediate level MS Office skills to perform administrative tasks as assigned
  • Ensure all customer inquiries are resolved in a timely and efficient manner
  • Regularly monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary
  • Process customer applications accurately and efficiently, ensuring all information is up-to-date and accurate. • Possess at least one year of experience in a similar role within the healthcare, hospitals, or social assistance industry
  • Ability to professionally answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate parties
  • Experience in checking patients in and out of appointments
  • Proficient in data entry tasks, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
  • Fluent in Spanish, with the ability to communicate effectively with Spanish-speaking patients
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Word for various administrative tasks
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with patients, family members, and medical staff
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
