Senior Information Security Engineer

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Security Engineer with a strong cybersecurity background to join our SecOps team here at Blackline. The ideal candidate must have strong technical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills.Must be able to work in an autonomous manner with minimal oversight.
You'll Get To::
- Conduct comprehensive threat modelling, vulnerability analysis, and security risk assessments.
- Work with 3^rd party partners to conduct penetration tests
- Collaborate with remediation teams to ensure vulnerable assets are secured
- Assist with the implementation of new security tooling and develop process documentation
- Collaborate with architecture, development, and implementation teams to enhance security posture
- Develop and maintain documentation related to security risk analysis
- Stay up to date with the latest security threats, trends, and mitigation strategies
- Support for regulatory compliance frameworks and associated audit activities
- Investigate new security vulnerabilities and identify associated business risks
- Effective interpersonal skills, in terms of planning, reviews, status updates and meetings, as well as delivery against expectations
What You'll Bring::
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems or equivalent work experience
- Extensive work experience performing security assessments, security control analysis, and vulnerability assessments (e.g. Qualys, Burp suite)
- Experience implementing and managing identity access controls for role-based access (RBAC) and least privilege principles (e.g. Zero Trust)
- Proven experience developing, operating and maintaining security systems
- Extensive knowledge of operating system and database security
- Proficiency in cloud security, networking technologies, and network security monitoring solutions
- Knowledge of Google Security Command Center a plus
- Knowledge of Abnormal Security a plus
- In-depth knowledge of cloud security posture management (CSPM) and/or Cloud-Native Application Platform (CNAPP)
- Knowledge of security systems including endpoint protection solutions (Crowdstrike), content filtering, firewalls (Palo Alto), authentication systems (Okta, Microsoft Entra ID) and intrusion detection (IPS/IDS)
- In-depth knowledge of security protocols, encryption, and principles
- Develop, execute, and track the performance of security measures to protect information and network infrastructure and computer systems.
- Involved in computer security strategy and engineer comprehensive cybersecurity architecture.
- Identify, define, and document system security requirements and recommend solutions to management.
- Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain security infrastructure software and hardware.
- Install software that monitors systems and networks for security breaches and intrusions.
- Monitor systems for irregular behavior and set up preventive measures.
- Plan, develop, implement and update company’s information security strategy.
- Educate and train staff on information system security best practices.
- Critical thinking skills and ability to solve complex problems
- Effectively collaborate with team members and cross functional teams.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize workloads

Salary Range:: USD $133,000.00 - USD $178,000.00
