Job Description
Construction Quality Control Manager Responsibilities:
- Quality Assurance Oversight: Monitor and ensure all construction phases comply with plans, specifications, and industry standards, implementing a robust quality control program.
- Document Control: Develop and manage a systematic process for handling project documentation, ensuring organized and accessible records.
- Inspection and Testing: Conduct regular inspections and testing of materials and workmanship to verify compliance and address deviations with corrective actions.
- Safety Compliance: Work with the safety team to uphold safety protocols and regulations, identifying and mitigating potential hazards.
- Subcontractor Management: Oversee the quality control of subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring alignment with project standards.
- Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve quality-related issues promptly, collaborating with stakeholders to implement solutions.
- Reporting and Communication: Prepare and communicate quality control reports, including progress updates and corrective action plans, to project teams and clients.
- Training and Development: Develop training programs on quality control practices, promoting continuous improvement and best practices.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations and stay updated on regulatory changes affecting construction quality.

The Successful Applicant
The qualified Construction Quality Control Manager will possess:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience (5-10 years) in construction quality control, with a focus on public projects.
- Strong analytic, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong understanding of quality control principles and practices within the construction industry - in-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, codes, and regulations.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate with diverse project teams and stakeholders.
- Certifications such as Certified Construction Manager (CCM), Quality Control Manager (QCM), or equivalent are desirable.
- Proficiency in using construction management software and document control tools.
