AZAD is seeking an Interim Critical Care Nurse Manager for a W2 Contract position based in Los Angeles, California.

Schedule: Day shift, Monday through Friday
Assignment Duration: 6+ Months
Compensation & Benefits:

$700 daily rate, plus daily stipends (7 days/week) including $183 Lodging, $74 Meals, and $50 Auto/Transportation. Weekly Compensation (including stipends) is $5,649. Benefits include Paid Sick Time, Paid Holiday, Co-paid Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance, Cafeteria Plan, and 401k.

Position Summary / Essential Functions:
Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Interim Critical Care Nurse Manager to oversee the operations of our Critical Care Unit during a transitional period. The ideal candidate will provide strong leadership, ensure high-quality patient care, and foster a collaborative team environment.

This role is critical in maintaining continuity of care and operational excellence during a time of organizational change.

Lead and manage day-to-day operations of the Critical Care Unit, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and standards.
Supervise and support nursing staff, including scheduling, performance evaluations, and professional development.
Serve as a role model, mentor, and resource for critical care team members.
Ensure the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based critical care services.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
Monitor patient outcomes and implement improvement initiatives as needed.
Manage staffing levels to ensure adequate coverage and compliance with patient-to-staff ratios.
Monitor budgetary expenditures, including staffing, supplies, and equipment.
Oversee compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards, including infection control policies.
Identify opportunities for process improvement within the unit and lead quality improvement initiatives.
Conduct regular audits and ensure adherence to clinical protocols and standards.
Address and resolve patient and staff concerns promptly and professionally.
Act as a liaison between the Critical Care Unit, other departments, and senior leadership.
Facilitate effective communication within the team and across disciplines.

Represent the Critical Care Unit at management meetings and contribute to organizational strategy discussions.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred.
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in California.
Minimum of 5 years of nursing leadership experience in a critical care setting.

BLS Certification required.
