Overview:
As the Assistant Restaurant Manager you are responsible for supporting and assisting the Restaurant Manager in maintaining restaurant operations by establishing quality food and services; maintaining wine inventory and cocktail service; selecting, training and developing Team Members in a professional environment.
Responsibilities:
- Constantly. Communicate with Manager on all matters relating to all F&B outlets.
- Constantly. Ensure consistency of product and service.
- Constantly. Exhibit menu and wine knowledge.
- Constantly. Maintain work areas clean and organized.
- Constantly. Oversee set up of dining and service areas.
- Constantly. Promote employee empowerment.
- Constantly. Report unsafe conditions immediately.
- Constantly. Select, train, supervise, develop, discipline and counsel employees in accordance with Davidson policies and procedures.
- Frequently. Act as Restaurant Manager when required.
- Frequently. Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor to include cross training.
- Frequently. Deal with guest complaints or requests.
- Frequently. Market, sell and stock wine.
- Frequently. Perform in the capacity of any position supervised.
- Occasionally. Attend all required meetings.
- Occasionally. Conduct performance appraisals.
- Occasionally. Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Read, write and speak English.
- Prefer two to three years of fine dining experience.
- Food/Beverage Service Worker Permit, where applicable.
- Ability to communicate effectively with the public and other employees.
- Meet minimum age requirement of jurisdiction.
- Prefer previous supervisory/management skills and experience.
- Requires 8th grade math level.
- Requires high school reasoning level.
- No employee will pose a direct threat to the health/safety of self or others.
