General Job Summary: Robotic -Maintenance Technician maintain robots and auxiliary equipment.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for managing all aspect automated robots and auxiliary equipment. The Robotic -Maintenance Technician will be responsible for ensuring a strong preventive maintenance program. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individual with disabilities to perform the essential job functions.-Troubleshoot and make adjustments to robot programs and fixtures.-Align, fit, or assemble component parts using hand tools, power tools, fixture, templates.-Attach wires between controllers.-Maintain inventories or production supplies such as sensors and cables.-Troubleshoot robotics systems, using knowledge of programmable controllers, electronics, mechanic, sensor or feedback systems, hydraulics, or pneumatics.
Determine causes of operational problems or failures.-Robots or peripheral equipment to make repairs such as replacement of defective circuit boards, sensors, controllers, encoders, and servomotors.-Perform preventive or corrective maintenance on robotic systems or components.-Maintain service records of robotic equipment or automated production systems.-Install, program, or repair robot controllers, end-of-arm tools, or conveyors.-Interprets machine operation manuals and identifies problem source.-Disassembles and removes, repairs and/or replaces defective components on manufacturing equipment.-Performs preventative maintenance, including lubricating and cleaning of manufacturing equipment.-Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment.-Listens for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discusses machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problems or repair machine.-Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.-Must possess own tools.-Maintain equipment to ensure machines produce quality parts.-Be able to respond to call-backs in emergency break down situations on an as needed basis.-Must be able to work a flexible schedule-Assists with other duties as assigned by supervisor/ manager.
Education/Experience-High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience.-3-4 years of mechanical experience and willing to train on robotic systems.Other Requirements:
