Job Description:
- Supports the Occupational Therapist (OT) in administering therapy treatments to improve patients’ mobility and health.
- Assists patients with therapeutic and self-care activities.
- Monitors patients’ progress and encourages them during the recovery process.
- Helps patients improve their quality of life by teaching solutions to physical and mobility problems.
- Works with injured employees to improve motor skills for re-entering the workforce.
- Teaches patients with disabilities to become more independent.
- Updates patient records for the OT and maintains treatment rooms and equipment.
- Instructs patients, family members, and caregivers on skills and techniques to assist with treatment plans.
Requirements:
Experience:
- 2 years of OT experience preferred; LTC or Rehab experience required.
License:
- Washington State OT Assistant License required.
