Mammography Technologist - MT25-18470

Schedule: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform screening and diagnostic mammograms to detect breast abnormalities.
• Ensure accurate patient positioning for high-quality imaging while prioritizing comfort and safety.
• Operate digital and 3D mammography machines following radiation protection protocols.
• Educate patients on procedures, breast health, and self-examinations.
• Review and assess image quality before submitting scans to radiologists.
• Conduct routine quality control checks and maintain equipment functionality.
• Accurately document patient history, imaging results, and procedural details.
• Assist physicians during breast biopsies and other diagnostic procedures.
• Collaborate with radiologists, oncologists, and nurses to provide comprehensive care.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Mammography Technologist.
• Valid NYSDOH Radiologic Technologist license.
• Post-primary certification in Mammography from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• BLS certification preferred.
