How you make a difference:

The Regional Mental Health Coordinator provides clinical and administration supervision and direction to mental health staff and oversight of mental services throughout the IST program. Also provides mental health services to individuals served within various facilities as well as providing mental health training and consultation to the facility personnel which includes nursing staff designated to the program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, maintain, and update onboarding and ongoing training materials for clinical staff in both in-person and digital formats, ensuring thorough documentation of materials and staff attendance.
  • Provide and oversee initial and ongoing training for clinical staff in IST programs, ensuring all training is aligned with professional standards and program goals.
  • Plan, supervise, and manage mental health services at the facility level, coordinating with the Regional Director of IST Operations to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Assign clinical responsibilities based on staff qualifications and address any competency issues with the Regional Director to maintain high ethical and professional standards.
  • Oversee clinical supervision of associate-level staff, allocate mental health resources efficiently, and collaborate with facility administration to enhance mental health services.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Education
  • Required: Master’s degree in psychology, marriage and family therapy, social work or related behavioral science field.
Experience
  • Required: Experience in the coordination and administration of mental health service delivery systems.
  • Preferred: Coursework and professional experience that indicates knowledge of management/supervision techniques, mental health counseling, group and individual psychotherapy, diagnosis and treatment of major mental disorders and/or psychological evaluation techniques.
Licenses/Certifications
  • Required: Current, valid license to practice psychology, marriage and family therapy, or social work in the state of employment by the appropriate state licensing board.
  • Required: Meet Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) requirements to provide clinical supervision to associate level clinicians.
  • Required: Current, valid CPR/BLS certification
