The Opportunity ...:
In JBT Bevcorp, located in Eastlake, OH, as our Material Handler– you will report to the Supply Chain Manager. You will focus on managing and expediting materials and workflow on the shop floor, ensuring accurate documentation, and collaborating with job planners to maintain efficient production processes.
On a given day, you may:
- Help expedite jobs created by the production planners by moving and locating material with job travelers to the correct operation, making sure parts are labeled.
- Maintain organization and prioritize workflow on the shop floor by managing the staging area based on the schedule, time needed to complete job and completed job picks to job completion.
- Ensure all job pick boxes, parts, and materials are marked with job details
- Expedite in-process parts from inspection to next operation and subcontract operation.
- Locate materials and supplies by verifying material listed on production job travelers.
- Maintain WIP at production stations by delivering materials and supplies to next operations.
- Document material and record units delivered at each interval of the job operation, verifying the accuracy of quantity and visual quality of the part.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery to move items, or signal machine operators to move materials onto and off trucks, ships, and loading docks.
- Ensure that all appropriate parts necessary for upcoming shipments are present, staged, and photographed when job is ready to be packed and shipped.
- Advise job planner to run primary and secondary picks based on job completion status and help pull jobs picks from inventory.
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1+ years of experience in machine shop industry.
- Mechanical work history and tool knowledge.
- Lift 30-50 lbs.
- Experience reading and understanding assembly drawings and engineered prints.
- You must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future.
- You'll work on site at our Eastlake, OH facility.
