Staff Accountant

Responsibilities:

• Conduct project accounting tasks, particularly monitoring the financial progress of projects and managing billing cycles or issues.
• Manage billing functions effectively, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
• Oversee accounts payable and vendor management tasks, maintaining strong vendor relationships and ensuring correct transaction records.
• Support payroll and general HR tasks by ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and pay rate changes.
• Perform account and contract reconciliation tasks, identifying and resolving any discrepancies in accounts or contracts.
• Utilize tools such as Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, and Billing.

Required Experience and Skills:

• 4+ experience in a general accounting and/or project accounting role.
• Proficiency in general accounting principles.
• Prior experience with billing, project accounting, and collections operations.
• Familiarity with accounts payable and vendor management tasks.
• Experience in payroll processing
