Accounting Manager/Controller

We are seeking an Accounting Manager/Controller in the Hi Tech Engineering industry. This role will primarily focus on overseeing the financial operations and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards. You will be involved in financial reporting, budgeting, cost management, compliance and audits, payroll and benefits administration, and accounts payable/receivable management, among other duties.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP
- Develop and manage budgets, monitor expenditures, and provide financial forecasts to support strategic planning
- Oversee cost accounting, including product costing, inventory valuation, and variance analysis
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, manage audits, and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets
- Manage payroll processing, benefits administration, and related tax filings
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections
- Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering professional development and ensuring a high level of accuracy and productivity
- Manage and improve accounting systems, ensuring they meet the needs of the business and support accurate financial reporting
- Work closely with other departments, such as production and sales, to align financial planning with operational goals
- Contribute to the financial strategy, advising on cost-saving measures, capital investments, and financial risk management.
- Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is necessary for this role
- Experience with ADP - Financial Services is required
- Knowledge of BlackLine is important
- Familiarity with Concur is beneficial
- Understanding of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is essential
- Ability to handle Accounting Functions is a must
- Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) is necessary
- Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) is required
- Auditing skills are beneficial for this role
- Ability to manage Billing Functions is essential.
