Tools and parts attendant supervisor (title 32) - National Guard
Establish deadlines, priorities, and work sequences, and plans work assignments based on general work schedules, methods, and policies set by the supervisor. Coordinate work with supporting or related work functions controlled by other supervisors.
Determine the number and types of workers needed to accomplish specific projects. Redirect individual workers and resources to accomplish unanticipated work. Informs the supervisor of the need to revise work schedules and re-estimate labor and other resources.
Participate with the supervisor in the initial planning of current and future work schedules, budget requests, staffing needs, estimates, and recommendations as to scheduling projected work. Investigate work related problems such as excessive costs or low productivity and determines causes.
Implement corrective actions within their authority to resolve work problems. Recommend solutions to staffing problems, engineering requirements, and work operations directed by other supervisors. Plan and establish overall leave schedules. Determine training needs of subordinates and arranges for accomplishment.
Set performance standards and makes formal appraisals of subordinate work performance. Initiate recommendations for promotion or reassignment of subordinates. Perform the non-supervisory work of the function, as needed. Implement regulatory safety requirements and ensures that subordinates wear appropriate safety equipment and follow pertinent safety precautions.
Adhere to published guidance and ensures employee compliance with standing operating procedures for the activity. Implement and comply with facility, agency, state, and federal regulatory Occupational Safety and Health, and environmental requirements.
Prepare for and participate in various types of readiness evaluations, inspections, mobilization and command support exercises. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Military Grades: E-6 through E-9 / WO1 through CW4 GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must have experience or training which demonstrates the knowledge of trade; ability to apply identification skill (matching specific item names, models, and stock or part numbers with similar specific information at stock locations); ability to use simple hand tools (pliers, screwdrivers, etc.) and to follow oral and written instructions.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have in addition to the journeyman level knowledge, experience demonstrating the ability to plan, direct, and organize work assignments of lower grade personnel; experience which required the review of work requirements and establishing priorities to meet deadlines; experience that provided knowledge of various lines of work performed by this function; experience which demonstrates the ability to supervise or the potential to perform such duties as evidenced by the ability to communicate knowledge of general supervisory concepts, and knowledge of shop processes; experience in adapting existing equipment and techniques to new situations.Education EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: NONE Additional Information If you are a male applicant who was born after 12/31/1959 and are required to register under the Military Selective Service Act, the Defense Authorization Act of 1986 requires that you be registered or you are not eligible for appointment in this agency (Register | Selective Service System : Selective Service System (sss.gov)).
