Windows 11 Technician

We are seeking a knowledgeable Windows 11 Technician to support our organization’s transition from Windows 10 to Windows 11. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with system upgrades, troubleshooting, and end-user support during migration processes.
You will play a vital role in ensuring a smooth, efficient, and secure transition to Windows 11, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
- System Migration & Upgrade:
- Plan and execute the migration of systems from Windows 10 to Windows 11, ensuring data integrity and minimal disruption to users.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to compatibility, drivers, and applications during and after the upgrade process.
- End-User Support & Training:
- Provide technical support and guidance to end users throughout the upgrade process, including resolving post-migration issues.
- Educate end users on Windows 11 features, changes, and best practices to ensure a seamless transition.
- Configuration & Optimization:
- Configure and optimize Windows 11 settings based on organizational policies, including security, performance, and user preferences.
- Implement updates, patches, and necessary adjustments to maintain system stability and security.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Document upgrade processes, troubleshooting steps, and best practices to streamline future transitions and support.
- Provide regular status reports on upgrade progress, issues encountered, and resolutions achieved.
- Collaboration & Compliance:
- Work closely with IT and security teams to ensure all Windows 11 systems meet company security and compliance standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address application compatibility issues and ensure all software functions as expected post-upgrade.
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating systems, including upgrade processes and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with device drivers, software compatibility, and system imaging tools.
- Proficiency in using IT support tools and ticketing systems for tracking, reporting, and documentation.
- Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and other Windows administrative tools.
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills, with an ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and thoroughness
