HR Generalist (4-Month Contract)

Overview:

Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC), is seeking a dynamic Human Resource Generalist for an estimated 4-month contract to support our Human Resources team during a Leave of Absence (LOA). The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting various HR functions and initiatives within the organization including new employee onboarding, orientation, and benefit programs.

Duties and Responsibilies:

  • Support new employees by facilitating the onboarding process, ensure accurate completion of all employee paperwork in the Dayforce HRIS system;
  • Communicate regularly with new hires to assist with questions and provide support;
  • Maintain employee files and records;
  • Assist with first day orientation process;
  • Provide support to assist with the administration of all employee benefit programs pertaining to enrollments, life events and terminations;
  • Processing of COBRA in accordance with applicable laws;
  • Assist with special projects; and
  • Provide additional support to HR Operations team.

Qualifications:

  • B.S. in Management, Human Resources or related field required;
  • 2+ years of experience in Human Resources;
  • Demonstrates foundational knowledge of HR policies and practices; and
  • Experience working with HRIS/HRMS systems.
