Overview:
The Human Resources Communications Assistant will be responsible for creating, editing and distributing impactful internal communications related to Human Resources (HR), especially Benefits. This role, reporting to the Senior Manager of HR Communications, will collaborate closely with HR team members and other teams across the globe to promote HR programs focused on health and well-being, recognition, performance management, and compensation.
Responsibilities:
- Draft, edit and coordinate the distribution of internal HR communications to business support team members and attorneys.
- Update and create content for the firm’s intranet site, ensuring information and materials are up to date and presented effectively.
- Develop annual Open Enrollment communications using a variety of channels including email, videos, presentations, print materials, and webinars.
- Seek out innovative video vendors to showcase benefits and HR programs.
- Partner in updating and developing materials to ensure benefits and other HR programs are effectively communicated to employees, including new hires, and job candidates.
- Assist with the coordination of and provide support for various benefits and HR-related events.
- Learn about the firm’s culture and HR programs to identify appropriate channels and HR messaging for our various populations.
- Explore ways to make HR communications more engaging and provide suggestions for improvements, with a goal of helping our workforce better understand, utilize and value the benefits and programs offered by HR.
- Analyze communications- and HR-related metrics, and make recommendations.
- Support the Total Rewards and HR Business Partner/Talent teams on special projects and initiatives as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and 1+ years of hands-on work experience in communications and/or HR, preferably in a professional services environment
- Demonstrated experience in the successful development of communication
- Proven ability to :
- Adapt to changing priorities and produce quality deliverables on time
- Absorb information and translate it into persuasive, relevant, benefit-oriented messaging
- Think strategically and systemically (i.e., "connect the dots")
- Analyze information, assess issues, make recommendations and clearly articulate them
- Work independently, under the direction of others, and collaboratively as a part of a team
- Strong written and verbal communication and editing skills; communications must maintain a professional tone and style
- Excellent attention to detail
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)

In addition, this role is eligible for a discretionary bonus based on performance.
The actual offered rate for this position will be determined based on job-related, non-discriminatory factors, including qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data and consideration of internal equity.
New York - $50,400 - $73,200
Working Conditions:
This position requires hybrid on-site presence as an essential function of the role. Consistent and predictable on-site presence is required for ongoing business continuity, professional development and effective collaboration with colleagues and management.
