Announcement Information:

This is an Appointed Position within Oakland County.

General Summary:
Performs clerical duties related to civil, criminal, traffic, probation and/or administrative proceedings in a District Court. Provides assistance to the public, attorneys and law enforcement personnel. Prepares notices of hearings to ensure proper court dates and probation appointments.
Acts as scheduling coordinator among the judges, prosecutors, attorneys, and police personnel. Receives fines, costs, fees, bonds, civil escrow and records them in a computerized cash register. Prepares summons to jurors and pay vouchers for juror attendance.
Works with defendants on their financial status and approves payment schedules, other means to pay or advises the judges of same. As assigned assists in the preparation of reports and special projects. Operates a cash register, personal computer, a main frame computer system, CLEMIS and LEIN functions and related equipment.

Utilizes current Countywide and/or department specific software to complete assignments.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

  1. High school graduate or have a certificate of successful completion of the General Education Development Test.
  2. Have at least three (3) years full-time experience in a court system or comparable qualifications that meet the Court Administrator's approval.

Pay Range: USD $18.79 - USD $25.18 /Hr.
