Pay: $15 per hour

Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Receiving Shipments:
  • Inspect and Verify: Carefully check incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing lists to ensure accuracy.
  • Unload and Record: Efficiently unload, unpack, and document incoming goods.
  • Quality Control: Identify and report any damaged or missing items to the supervisor.
  • Storage Management: Ensure items are stored correctly in designated areas for easy retrieval.
  1. Shipping Duties:
  • Preparation: Prepare products for shipment, including packaging, labeling, and documentation.
  • Logistics Coordination: Generate shipping labels and arrange for carrier pickups.
  • Accuracy Assurance: Verify that outgoing shipments are complete, accurate, and meet customer specifications.
  • Shipment Tracking: Monitor and track shipments to ensure timely delivery.
  1. Inventory Management:
  • Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular inventory counts.
  • Stock Control: Assist in managing stock levels and reordering supplies as needed.
  • Order Coordination: Collaborate with other departments to fulfill internal and external orders efficiently.
  1. Documentation and Reporting:
  • Activity Logging: Keep detailed records of all shipping and receiving activities.
  • Report Generation: Prepare and submit regular reports on inventory status, shipping schedules, and received goods.
  • Policy Compliance: Adhere to company policies and procedures in all tasks.
  1. Equipment and Safety:
  • Equipment Operation: Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
  • Safety Protocols: Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Issue Reporting: Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the supervisor promptly.
  1. Customer Service:
  • Communication: Keep vendors and customers informed about shipment statuses and address any issues promptly.
  • Discrepancy Resolution: Resolve any shipping or receiving discrepancies quickly.
  • Stakeholder Support: Provide excellent customer service and support to both internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Previous experience in shipping and receiving, warehouse operations, or a related field.
  • Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills, excellent attention to detail, and accuracy.
  • Equipment: Ability to operate material handling equipment (forklift certification preferred).
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in using shipping software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Communication: Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 50 lbs).
