Robert Half has partnered with an esteemed client in the Baltimore area to hire a Third-Party Risk Analyst. As part of their risk management and internal audit team, they are seeking a Third-Party Risk Analyst to support their efforts in managing third-party relationships and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

As a Third-Party Risk Analyst, you will be responsible for evaluating, monitoring, and managing the risks associated with third-party vendors, suppliers, and service providers that have access to our client's data, systems, or facilities. Working closely with various departments across the organization, you will play a vital role in assessing the security, privacy, compliance, and operational risks posed by third parties and implementing risk mitigation strategies to safeguard company interests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments of third-party vendors and service providers to evaluate their capabilities, controls, and adherence to internal policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Review and analyze third-party contracts, agreements, and security documentation to identify potential risks, liabilities, and contractual obligations.
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and action plans to address identified risks and vulnerabilities associated with third-party relationships.
  • Monitor and track third-party risk indicators, including cybersecurity incidents, regulatory changes, financial instability, and reputational issues, to assess the ongoing risk exposure and potential impacts
  • Collaborate with internal audit, compliance, and information security teams to align third-party risk management efforts with broader risk management objectives and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with procurement, legal, and business units to ensure that third-party contracts include appropriate risk management provisions, service-level agreements, and compliance requirements.
  • Conduct periodic reviews and audits of third-party vendors to verify compliance with contractual requirements, security standards, and regulatory obligations.
  • Provide regular reporting and updates to senior management, the board of directors, and other stakeholders on the status of third-party risk management activities and key findings.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging risks, and best practices in third-party risk management to enhance our risk management capabilities and practices.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Risk, Business, Business Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related
  • 2+ years of experience in third-party risk management, vendor management, procurement, internal audit
  • Strong understanding of third-party risk management principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in using risk management tools, software, and technologies to support third-party risk assessment and monitoring activities.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to assess complex situations and make informed risk-based decisions.
