Naylors Court Dental Center is looking for a Expanded Functions Dental Assistant in Pikesville, MD to assist our clinical team by providing a high level of patient care and satisfaction while operating in a team-based environment.
Position Overview:As a Dental Assistant you are an integral part of care team in providing support to the office and assisting the professional dental staff with treatment. Hours:
- Monday, Wednesday & Thursday: 7:45 AM - 5 PM
- Tuesday: 6:45 AM - 1:00 PM
- Friday: 7:45 AM - 1:00 PM

Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- Clinical Support: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
- Patient Care: Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
- Radiography & Diagnostics: Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations..
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake (if needed)
- Helps dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.
Qualifications:
Qualifications:
- Completion of a one-year certified dental assistant program
- 2 years on-the-job-experience
- Expanded Functions Dental Assistant certification
- X-Ray certification
- Nitrous Oxide certification is highly recommended
- High school diploma or equivalent
Dental Assistants are also expected to maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law.
